      1. It’s essential that workers understand the physical and chemical properties of H2S, the signs/symptoms of exposure, and as well as the appropriate response in the event of a release.
        1. Meets standards:
          1. ANSI/ASSE Z390.1-2024
          2. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 & CFR 1926
          3. API RP 49
          4. API RP 55
          5. BSEE 30 CFR 250.490
          6. MMS 250.490
          7. The Railroad Commission of Texas
          8. ACGIH’s New TLV
        2. Upon completion: Trainees are issued a physical and digital Veriforce photo ID card and entered into the Veriforce training database
        3. Ensure your workforce understands what to do in case of H2S exposure.
        4. Upon successful completion of this course and competency exam, participants will have the knowledge and skill necessary to work in H2S environments when coupled with an effective company-specific Respiratory Protection program that conforms to 29 CFR 1910.134.
    3. Course Length:
      1. This is a 1-day course consisting of four (4) classroom hours, which are required for teaching the H2S Clear for Energy curriculum.
    4. Recommended Attendees:
      1. Oil & Gas Industry: Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream
        1. Oil and natural gas wells; in refineries, where H2S is removed from natural gas and oil
        2. Pipelines and tankers used to carry unrefined petroleum: Shale Shaker Areas, Fluid Treatment Areas, Rig Floor, Belle Nipple, Mud Tanks, Mud Pump Areas, Storage Tanks, Wellhead, Cellar, Drilling Floor, Pump Houses, Gas Processors, Manure Tanks & Ponds, Plug Flow Digesters, Storage Tanks, Transportation (trucks, barges and rail cars)
        3. Underground Natural Gas Storage Facilities

Effective 05/19/25, refunds on courses will be liable to 10% of the course cost where withdrawal is less than 7 calendar days of the course start date. In addition, a non-refundable credit card processing fee of $50 will apply. Rather than cancel, we would be happy to help you reschedule your course at no additional cost.
